Disturbed est un groupe de nu metal, fondé en 1997 par les musiciens Dan Donegan, Steve "Fuzz" Kmak, Mike Wengren et David Draiman.
Le groupe de Chicago s'acharna beaucoup pour trouver une maison de disque, avec deux EPs enregistrés séparément et envoyés à plusieurs compagnies.
Le premier album, sorti en 2000, s'appelle The Sickness, accompagné du single "Stupify". Le groupe participa ensuite à l'Ozzfest de 2001, puis participa au premier "Music as a weapon tour", une tournée organisée par le groupe, regroupant différents groupes de nu metal et de hard rock. La première tournée réunit Stereomud, Systematic, Adema, Drowning Pool...

The Disturbed is a punk band from Glasgow, Scotland formed in 1983 and split up in 1989 .
Not to be confused with nu metal band Disturbed.
The Disturbed released about 7 demos, one solo EP - "This Is.... Credibility ", a split EP with UK punk band 36 Crazy Fist, as well as several comp appearances.
They were featured in Ian Glasper's latest book Trapped in A Scene.
