Modest Midget sind eine niederländische Band. Der Mann hinter Modest Midget - Lionel Ziblat - ist allerdings eher eine Art Weltenbürger. Geboren wurde er 1972 in Argentinien, aufgewachsen ist er in Israel. An der Universität von Tel Aviv und am Konservatorium in Utrecht hat er Musik studiert. Er arbeitet als Komponist in vielen Bereichen von Kabarett bis klassischer Musik. Nebenbei betreibt er die Band Modest Midget, wo er Gitarre, Keyboards, Percussion spielt und natürlich die Musik komponiert. Mighty Midgets are from Denmark: 5 young men gathered around their biggest interest music. Everything from heavily political influenced songs to experiences from their own lives is blended together with a heart for the music. That`s what makes Mighty Midgets´ personal expression. San Francisco's the Toiling Midgets formed in late 1979 as an instrumental band with Craig Gray and Paul Hood on guitars, Tim Mooney on drums and Jonathan Henrickson on bass. In 1981 the late Ricky Williams joined the band to record 'Sea of Unrest' (Instant [Rough Trade US]) and lasted with the initial lineup through a brief West Coast tour. Incarnated by Samuel Wormius and Jonathan Sprenger at late 2005 to play traditional doom metal with progressive elements, The Wandering Midget recorded their first demo, titled "First Encounter", at summer of 2006. This demo did lead to record deal with Eyes Like Snow.
