Felt war eine englische Postpunk Band aus Birmingham. Bandgeschichte Felt wurde 1979 von Lawrence Hayward zunächst als Soloprojekt gegründet, um seine selbst aufgenommene und produzierte Single Index zu veröffentlichen. Da die Single ein Achtungserfolg wurde, beschloss Hayward 1980 die Gründung einer Band und nahm Maurice Deebank an der Lead-Gitarre und Nick Gilbert am Schlagzeug als Bandmitglieder auf. Deebank war ein klassisch ausgebildeter Gitarrist und hatte bereits 1978 zusammen mit dem lyrisch begabten Hayward ein Demo aufgenommen, das frühe Versionen der Songs Something Sends Me to Sleep, Cathedral und Birdmen enthielt. The Letters Organize formed in 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia. Taking influences from bands such as Refused and other post hardcore bands while incorporating their own style of schizophrenic rock and roll, the band recorded their first EP "Everyone Goes Yeah...Bash!" on Brand Name Records which would subsequently be re-released as "The Cure" later. Their unique sound earned them recognition in the independent music scene, playing with bands such as Vaux and the SXSW festival. Nitro Records soon took interest and signed the band, releasing their only full length "Dead Rhythm Machine" in early 2005, to much critical acclaim from magazines...

They're not even allowed in the amazing venues Austin has to offer without supervision, but that didn't keep the Dutch band 'Death Letters' from taking off to Texas last September when only 18 and 19 years old. They were there for a one sole purpose only: recording their second album with one of their favorite producers.
