Mohammad is the doom chamber music project of Coti K, Ilios and Nikos Veliotis formed in 2009 in Athens, Greece. Having worked separately in the experimental field they decided to join forces in order to study and work on the principles of inter-modulation using contra-bass (Coti K), oscillators (Ilios) and cello (Nikos Veliotis). Coti K left the group in 2015.

Dol Ammads wird von der seit 2000 bestehenden Band als Electronica-Art-Metal bezeichnet.
Die Idee für Dol Ammad stammt von Keyboarder und Komponist Thanasis Lightbridge.
Die Musik besteht aus spacigen Keyboardklängen mit einem dramatischen Chorus, der in hämmernde Metalrhytmen abgleitet. Untermalt wird es durch Klänge aus den Synthesizern. Eine Mischung, die als neuer Metal-Hybride zu werten ist Schnell sind die Vorlieben der Musiker erkennbar. Hier vermischt sich sehr viel Elektronik mit Klassik und härteren Rock-und Metalklängen.Teilweise ist die Musik ruhig, entspannend, um dann mit raschen Tempiwechseln und rockigen Passagen aufzuwarten.
Das Album Star Tales ist das Debüt der 16 Mann-Truppe.

Idris Muhammad (* 13. November 1939 in New Orleans, Louisiana als Leo Morris) ist ein US-amerikanischer Jazz-Schlagzeuger.
Muhammad ist für seine funkige Spielweise bekannt. Wie andere schwarze Jazzmusiker konvertierte Muhammad in den 1960er Jahren zum Islam und änderte seinen Namen. 1966 heiratete er Dolores "LaLa" Brooks, ein ehemaliges Mitglied der US-amerikanischen Mädchen-Gesangsgruppe The Crystals. Auch sie trat zum Islam über und nahm den Namen Sakinah Muhammad an. Zusammen mit ihr hat Idris Muhammad zwei Söhne und zwei Töchter; die Ehe wurde 1999 geschieden.

Afghan rebâb virtuoso Ustad Mohammad Omar, who was born sometime in the early 20th century, came to the United States in 1974 to Seattle’s University of Washington as an artist-in residence in the ethnomusicology department. On 18 November 1974, he gave his only U.S. concert, at the university’s Meany Hall. He was accompanied by 24-year-old Zakir Hussain, a budding Indian tabla player. Hussain went on to become a world-renowned tabla virtuoso. Ustad Mohammad Omar returned to Afghanistan after his year in Seattle and died in 1980. .
