The combination of electric and acoustic instruments with samplers and decks as well as the use of loops taken from cinematic themes and songs of the sixties and seventies define the Expert Medicine sound. The band's influences range from funk and acid-jazz to pop, freestyle and hip-hop. They sort of flirt with the atmosphere of Bristol's trip-hop scene, giving it a definite dance twist.
