Shotgun Rules were a five piece band out of London, Ont., born and raised on the sounds of underground Punk, Hardcore, Metal and Modern Rock. The band's debut EP: "Estimated Time of Arrival" [June 2004/ Cause and Affect] incorporates powerful melodies, intricate rhythms and mature songwriting. Stand out tracks including "Embers" and "Thank You Gravity" reveals a band not only diverse in their talents, but influences as well. Before there was Soul Asylum there was Loud Fast Rules, with Dan Murphy, Dave Pirner, Karl Mueller and Pat Morley. .

Mob Rules wurde im Jahre 1994 von Matthias Mineur, Thorsten Plorin, Klaus Dirks und Arved Mannott gegründet. Mineur und Plorin spielten bereits vorher in der regional bekannten Band Van Blanc. Zwei Jahre nach Gründung, verstärkt durch Oliver Fuhlhage als zweiten Gitarristen, produzierte sie in Eigenregie eine Demo-EP mit dem Titel Savage Land Part I und zog dadurch die Aufmerksamkeit mehrerer Plattenfirmen auf sich. Die Band entschied sich für Limb Music und veröffentlichte schließlich 1999 ihr Debütalbum Savage Land, welches sehr gute Kritiken erhielt.
