Wouter Veldhuis is an enigmatic German musician who promulgates minimalistic drone compositions, incorporating elements of industrial atmospherics and bass-intensive dark ambience in the vein of Klaus Wiese, Rapoon and Waterscape Records labelmates Light of Shipwreck and Taiga Remains. His key instrument is the guitar, its tones modulated and ramified through a vast array of effects and filters, and the mood is largely pensive and nocturnal throughout his repertoire. As of the time of writing, Veldhuis has recorded two albums: Satumaa, issued by Waterscape records in December 2008 and The Endless Now, issued by Organic Industries in May 2011. .

Huis ("home doors" in french, and "house" in dutch) is a five member musical project officially formed by Pascal Lapierre and Michel Joncas at the end of 2009, after an oustanding and inspiring trip in the Netherlands. At that time, we decided to put on tape (read hard drive!) some ideas we had in mind since a long time. Over time, three other talented musicians, William Regnier, Sylvain Descôteaux and Michel St-Père, joined the band, each one bringing a special touch to Huis’ sound. .

Wout came from Holland but settled in England. He built his reputation in the 60's as a solo Hawaiian and jazz guitarist. He performed solo on stage with just guitar and voice but controlling backing recordings of his own vocal and instrumental recordings made in his own studios, a kind of one-man exotica orchestra. He is known to have sung in French, Dutch, German, Spanish, Hawaiian and Maori. .
