DWOD (drone without drone) is a style of music which takes characteristics of drone music but does away with the conventional uses of drones. It's sometimes known as "post-drone", avant-drone", or other terms that detail the abstraction of the usual drone process. "DWOD" itself can sometimes stand for "drone minus drone" or other similiar titles. .
