　　2004年秋天,张守望上大学了,北京理工.在学校里找到了大三的李维,二人开始组乐队,在学校的一些社团协会的排练里倒弄一些声响.当时的鼓手是张守望的一个高中同学. 　　2005年春节后,鼓手离队 　　2005年的某个春日,李青儿去看李维和张守望排练,客串了"Sunday Morning"一曲的鼓手,从此乐队成员定型 　　2005年4月28日傍晚,CARSICK CARS在排练室里第一次演出,也可以叫做公开排练.去看演出的人都是朋友以及当天在学校BBS上看到帖子的人. 　　2005年5月起,乐队开始参加一些公开演出,主要是在老what酒吧与当时一起出现的北京新乐队一起拼场,其它乐队包括snapline, 后海大鲨鱼,赌鬼,the dirty one等等.也参加一些校园乐队演出,用sonic youth的吉他噪音+joy division的贝司线+the velvet underground的鼓把自己同其它乐队区分开来. 　　在5月的一次向joy division致敬的演出中,CARSICK CARS作为临时加演的乐队为正场演出开场,受到各乐队 乐迷 乐评的交口称赞 　　此后,乐队开始得到一些为大牌乐队做开场演出的邀请,这些大牌乐队风格多样化,有朋克 车库 后朋 后摇 前卫实验 　　10月,乐队同后海大鲨鱼 snapline一道远赴上海,杭州演出 　　当月成立一个松散的组织,名叫no beijing,有CARSICK CARS,SNAPLINE,后海大鲨鱼,哪吒.no beijing一词来源于70年代末引发纽约无浪潮运动的一张专辑名:no new york.只是现在的这些北京后辈们并没有去玩无浪潮. 　　张守望的吉他效果器数量越来越多,他对音色的敏感使的每一款新效果器的使用上手特别快.同时,他使用一些其它道具(如别针,剃须刀,提琴弓,ebow,滑棒)来丰富吉他演奏.同时开始使用loop. 　　2005年12月,4支乐队在北京愚公移山酒吧进行一次名为no beijing的演出,为2005年画上了一个完美的句点. 　　2006年春天,乐队在老what,13等酒吧进行演出.乐队不断有新歌产生 　　5月,美国人Mark的酒吧D-22开张,CARSICK CARS成为其主要驻场乐队,张守望的效果器数量开始简化. by raindog ----- Car-sick Cars formed in March 2005 and performed for the first time at Beijing Institute of Technology in May 2005.
