簡介
音樂的精靈——fripSide最早發足於2002年的一個網絡神話。當年默默無聞的fripSide依靠在網絡上的一首《come to mind》成為了熱門話題。當時純粹報著遊戲人生態度的成員們，怎麼都沒有想到會有如此激烈的反應，於是趁熱打鐵，擴充了隊伍，使之趨向於多員化的組合成為了歌手+樂隊+製作人的奇怪組合。
主唱是時年僅僅現23歲的nao(1985年生)，雖然沒有什麼特別出眾的相貌。但是，其音樂表現力可以說不能不讓人感到吃驚，聲線的爆發感足以媲美引擎的轟鳴。並且還擔當了歌詞創作的部分。主要的鍵盤和吉他手Satoshi Yaginuma，急具個性的創作手法使得fripSide的音樂充滿了多員化，混音、音聲合成、鼓手（masa）。主要擔當聲音方面創作的Satoshi Yaginuma，把Sat和Nao的音樂通過各種各樣的形式表現得非常到位，可以說是才華橫溢。此外還有相當多的樂手（吉他，貝司，鼓手，作詞者），他們共同組成了現在的fripSide！
fripside在官方網站上提供部分歌曲的免費下載，PV試看等等，另外2007年他們在web radio節目中分享最近的情況，生活，音樂等等
主要活動的地點位於秋葉原，在某大廈外牆的電視上播放他們的PV，CD廣告等等。
2009年3月15日，fripSide的主頁上發布了主唱Nao離隊的消息（官網原文“私Naoは、fripSideを卒業することとなりました。”）。 fripSide現在實際已經處於暫停活動的狀態。 Nao聲稱今後將會以“Nao"這一新的身份繼續自己的音樂之路。
雖然主唱Nao離隊，fripside的活動還在繼續，新主唱南條愛乃加入了Fripside。南條愛乃高音部分nao化，和nao很相似。比較震驚的是南條愛乃的聲音，她的聲音原本應該是比較溫和，現在是高音飆升，在註重樂器高頻的段落依然能很清晰聽出vocal 。
近期的計劃是為10月新番「科學超電磁炮」獻唱OP「only my railgun」，單曲CD預定11月4日發售。
相比DC II的角色曲，色音調個方面截然不同，很難想像是同一個人。今後Fripside還會做出與nao時代更好的作品！ .
