Dezoriental is a fascinating group from France. Abdel Waheb Sefsaf (song, derbouka) and Alaoua Idir (ud, guitar) had been interested in their youth little in their Algerian roots: they had a preference for Western music and secluded themselves as much as possible from the Arab music where their parents listened to.
