D.R.I. (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles) are a hardcore punk band formed in Houston, Texas in 1982. Current line-up comprises founding members vocalist Kurt Brecht and guitarist Spike Cassidy, as well as drummer Rob Rampy and bassist Harald Oimoen. D.R.I. never gained a mainstream audience, but integrating hardcore punk roots with thrash-metal influences was a stylistic catalyst for their contemporaries - most notably Agnostic Front, Corrosion Of Conformity, Verbal Abuse, Cro-Mags, Dr. Know - alongside whom they are considered pioneers of what they called "Crossover" in their third album (1987). D.R.I.S.T is a one-female project led by Irene P.S., initially formed in 2009 while located in Athens, Greece. The main drive of this project is the inner need of the artist to express her unique skills to produce music as obtained by her studies in the Greek private college I.E.K. OMIROS (Aegean college). With personal preference in dark sounds and all kinds of experimental underground genres, D.R.I.S.T advocates a complex mix of IDM, experimental, dark ambient, aleatoric and stochastic music trying to add her own stigma in the scene.The artist has released her first E.P. with the title Ward 67....
