There are more than one act named Charade. 1.Charade is a melodic rock rock formed in the summer of 2003 by five mutual friends after the disbanding of First Class and Slow Jazz Music. Guitarist Ryan Lee and drummer BIlly Webb had came up with the idea of a more experimental band after playing pop punk had become stale. The Charades is either an old R&B, Doo-wop group, an indie band from Spain or a surf-rock band from Finland. #1 The Charades were a rhythm & blues group who were active in California in the early to mid 1960s and released a number of singles. They started out in the late 1950s under the name The Latin Knights. The Charades were popular in the San Joaquin Valley in California doing local functions etc. The name was changed to The Charades in 1962. By 1962, they had signed with Anthony J. Hilder. Swedish jangle pop trio The Charade is Ingela Matsson (vocals), ex-Red Sleeping Beauty and Shermans member Mikael Matsson (keyboard, bass, drums), and ex-Happydeadman member Magnus Karlsson (guitar, vocals). Karlsson met Mikael Matsson at a party in Stockholm in 2004, and due to distance they decided to exchange recordings through e-mail.
