The Disrupters were formed in late 1980 in Norwich, UK. Originally influenced by the early punk bands of the late 70s (Sex Pistols, Ramones, The Clash etc) the band were becoming increasingly drawn to the anarchist scene. Things started early for The Disrupters with Crass including an early demo version of the song "Napalm" on their 1st "Bullshit Detector" lp. Although they only released one full-length album,(Unrest), the band acquired quite a following on the strength of various 7'' EPs, Split EPs, and multiple compilation appearances. Disruptive Influence are a now defunct melodic punk band from Edzell in the North East of Scotland, releasing two EP's: "The Turquoise EP" & "Since When Did Tesco Have A Dress Code?", there's also a "Live At The Barcode" DVD and some of the live tracks from that show in circulation.
