Treyc Cohen (born October 11, 1983) is a 27 year old singer from Tamworth, Staffordshire in the UK. Cohen made it as a finalist on the hit British reality show, The X Factor. She was tipped a favorite in the early stages of the ITV1 competition. However, she was eliminated in the fifth week round of the liveshows stage, finishing as 2010's tenth place finalist.

Cohen originally auditioned in 2009 & made into the final 24, reaching the Judges' houses stage. Simon Cowell, her mentor that year believed she was not ready and chose the likes of Olly Murs, Danyl Johnson and Jamie Archer as his final three in the Over 25s category.

In 2010, Treyc returned to the show, determined and much stronger. She sailed through her audition with her rendition of "You've Got The Love" made popular recently by Florence + the Machine. Her Bootcamp performance was just as strong with her interpretation of Radiohead's "Creep"

Cohen made it to the the judges' houses stage (The Final 36) in 2010 as one of the Top 8 Girls. She delivered a performance of Beyonce's "Ave Maria" in front of her mentor, Cheryl Cole. Treyc did not make the cut as one of Cole's top three. However, was selected as her wildcard (fourth lucky) later on.

On the first live show, Cohen's rendition of "One" from U2 brought her rave comments including Cowell saying: "I am amazed that we overlooked you in this competition. I didn't like what you're wearing.. but honestly that's not an issue, because by a far mile, that was the best vocal for the entire competition thus far".

On the second live show, Cohen delivered a performance of Prince's "Purple Rain" and for the second week running, got rave reviews from all judges with Cowell saying: "I think you're a dark horse and I think you may be one to watch in this competition.. I think that was stunning".

On the third live show, Cohen sung & performed "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin. She received mixed criticism with Cowell adding "It's like a kitten who's turned into a tiger in one week (as a performance).. Although I don't think you quite nailed the big notes on that for whatever reason. You lost your way a little bit, and I know you haven't been feeling great in the week.. "

Danni Minogue commented "..you can sing anything, but what's your style and what's your signature? thats what Im not sure of.. " After the top twelve performed, Cohen ended up falling into the bottom two alongside John Adeleye. Cohen chose the Jennifer Hudson song "One Night Only" from the 2006 blockbuster film, DreamGirls as her 'survival' song. She was ultimately saved with three out of four votes (Minus Adeleye's mentor, Louis).

On the fourth live show, Cohen was given the track "Relight My Fire" made popular by Take That. Cowell commented "You are a great, great singer.. The problem is that I don't think there is a connection between you and Cheryl (your mentor) because at the moment there isn't a connection as a recording artist... there's nothing original yet.."

On the fifth live show, Cohen sang the Aerosmith monster hit "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" Cowell commented "Seriously I can't fault that vocal - you are a great singer. Having said that, it's like if you have a lion you want it to bite you, not lick you... you're missing that passion and belief..." Dannii: "...I think tonight we saw some of that spark back.. I think the rock thing in the song is your spark."

Cohen made it through to the fifth week round, and despite having one of the strongest performances of the week, she ended up being one of the bottom two vote getters. Cohen chose the Toni Braxton classic "Un-Break My Heart" for her showdown performance and went up against Katie Waissel in the sing-off. Both girls shared the same mentor, Cheryl Cole, who refused to vote either one off. Dannii Minogue voted in Cohen's favor. Simon Cowell backed Katie Waissel and commented "..Treyc you are the better singer. However, Katie you're interesting to watch.." The decision was down to Louis Walsh who stated "..My head says to keep Treyc in, my heart says Katie.. Im going with my heart"

Cohen finished as the tenth place finalist on X-Factor 2010's series.

TreyC took part in the Help For Heroes charity single, X Factor Finalists 2010 - "Heroes" - a David Bowie cover performed by the seasons final twelve. Cohen has two solos in the the track. The cover song shot straight to #1 on the UK Singles Chart and stands firm as one of 2010s best selling singles.
