The Drive-Ins were formed in Stockholm in the spring of 2002. After three months a 4 track demo including Exploding Teenage Emotions, Set The Detonator On Zero, Oh yeah! and Drink Until The Day I Die was recorded with former bass player Side burn Sven. Short after that Spike took over the bass and he, Steve, Elvis and Janne were ready to punk shit up. More songs were made and in November 2002 The Drive-Ins recorded a full length album for the French label Dirty Punk Records. In the very end of December 2002 Steve decides to leave the band and Elvis took over the lead vocals. So they were then a three man band. In the middle of January 2003 the album is released under the name Punk Shit Up!
In July 2003 they went into the studio again and recorded four new songs and released a demo to sell and spread around at shows to get the "new sound" (due to the change in vocals, not musically)out there.
In October 2003 they did a short tour in Spain and the Basque country.
Right in the beginning of January 2004 Randy joins the band as a second guitarist, the next album was to bee recorded. But then, before the new album was recorded Randy left the band and the band were back to being three.
June 2004 Janne drops out due to some friction in the band after a gig in Norrland(north of Sweden) and then Elvis moves to Barcelona, Spain.

Elvis sadly left us on 25:th of December 2007

He is gone, missed but never forgotten

Lobo, the no.1 Drive-In fan, always.
