Ilpo Jauhiainen aka Ilpo (b. 1977 Finland) is a composer, music producer, sound artist and writer. He works collaboratively and globally across the arts, from music production to art installations, from dance and performance to film and theatre // After studying Sonic Arts at Middlesex University, London, UK 1999-2003, he has composed music and explored sounds in numerous diverse art productions in London, Berlin, Tokyo, Helsinki and Barcelona. He has also led his own experimental electropunk band, recorded and performed ethno-electronic leftfield pop as a part of Green & Ilpo duo with artist Megumi Matsubara, and collaborated with a wide variety of singers and musicians from diverse genres while slowly developing and releasing curiosities from his solo work. His musical interests revolve around the possibilities and combinations of pop music and sound art, new global musical styles, modern composition and generative music. Shimmer & Bloom (2011) is his debut album as Ilpo. .
