I'm a composer, producer and sound designer. Born and raised in Tehran, I moved to Canada after banishment from performing/recording in Iran by the Islamic Republic of Iran's Ministry of Culture in 2006.

Timeline:

Jul.03.1983 : Born in Tehran, Iran

Fall.1990 : Began studying music, playing recorder flute and xylophone

Fall.1993 : Playing nylon string guitar for two sessions

Fall.1993 : Began playing keyboards

Jul.1997 : Began playing electric guitar

Summer.2002 : Founded the first official heavy metal band in Iran, Exir, with Ardavan Anzabipour and Sina Jazayeri

Fall.2002 : Played in the first, followed by four more sold-out shows, official heavy metal concert in Tehran with Exir

Winter.2003 : Accepted by Berklee College of Music, rejected by The US embassy in Turkey

Summer.2003 : Founded D.N.A., with Pejman and Bijan Ghanbarnejad

Fall.2003 : Played in four shows in Tehran with DNA

Winter.2004 : Joined Iran's first official alternative rock band, Meera

Summer.2004 : Reached the #1 spot at Iran's music billboard with an original composition for Meera

Spring.2005 : Received Pre-Foundation in Music certificate from Berklee College of Music's certified school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, International College of Music

Spring.2005 : Attended the songwriting workshop with Sting and Dominic Miller

Summer.2005 : Re-joined Meera and played four sold-out shows in Tehran

Summer.2006 : Began recording and producing my first solo album, The Second Sight of a Mind, with Derek Sherinian (ex-Dream Theater), Virgil Donati (Planet X), Ric Fierabracci (Chick Corea Elektric Band) and Rufus Philpot (Allan Holdsworth)

Fall.2006 : Pronounced “banned” to perform and/or record in Iran by the Islamic Republic of Iran's Ministry of Culture

Fall.2006 : Moved to Toronto, Canada

Aug.08.2008 : Independent release of my first solo album, The Second Sight of a mind

Fall.2008 : Toured with the Canadian rock band, Random Robbery, and appeared on the music video, Carry On

Winter.2009 : Began studying Electronic Music Production and Sound Design at Berklee College of Music's online school, BerkleeMusic

Apr.10.2009 : Canadian Progressive Rock label, Unicorn Digital, re-released The Second Sight of a Mind

Summer.2009 : Began studying Sound Design for Visual Media at Vancouver Film School

Winter.2010 : Founded AGOLOGY Productions

Summer.2010 : Graduated from Vancouver Film School

Fall.2010 : Elected as a member of the jury for ZirZamin (Persian independent music magazine) international music competition

May.30.2011 : Organized and performed in a collaborative musical improvisation, Ensemble Fatwa, at New York City's Museum of Sex with Michael Bernier (Stickmen), Mari Kimura (Juilliard School of Music), Glenn Cornett (New Spectrum Foundation) and Sina Jazayeri
