İngiliz Fatboy Slim, gerçek adıyla Quentin Leo Cook Brighton Üniversitesi’nde İngilizce, sosyoloji ve politika okudu. Bu sırada bazı kulüplerde dj’lik yapan sanatçı, 1985 yılında eski arkadaşı Paul Heaton’ın grubu “The Housemartins”e katıldı. The Housemartins’in basistliğine soyunan Cook, bu grupla “Happy Hour” adlı bir single çıkarttı fakat 1988 yılında Paul Heaton’un “The Beautiful South”a yönelmesinden sonra The Housemartins dağıldı. Chad Ubovich spent the last few years as a member of Ty Segall and Mikal Cronin's respective backing bands. Along the way, he's learned to put his personal spin on the surf-strum mutant beach party championed by California psychedelic rock bands like Thee Oh Sees, Wand and Bleached. As Meatbodies, Ubovich's lessons pay off.
