1. Knockout was born in the suburbs of Chicago in January of 1999. This 4-piece quartet that likes to play fast, melodic, pop-punk with influences such as Humble Beginnings, NOFX, Blink-182, the Ataris, Strung Out and Pulley. They have played all over Illinois and have toured out to California. They have played with bands such as Unsung Zeros, Mest, Allister, Sloppy Meat Eaters, River City High, 5o4plan and Rise Against. Knocker is a an American post rock experimental project. The creative outlet of singer/songwriter David Roberts (Firm Stools, Calico Jane). Much of the music is recorded with a Nagra mono reel to reel tape recorder, documenting an orchestra of found sounds and a chorus of tortured voices. Recorded on a hundred year old farm in near complete isolation, many of the sonic means are found in the tool shed or barn. Befitting the environment, elements are often slowed to a crawl to reveal hidden nuance. Like gutting a fish, it becomes more open and carnal as creeping rhythms become disjointed...

THE KNOCKDOWN hail from sunny, well funded, and much publicized Upstate New York where they craft catchy, riff laden tunes about life, love, and the pursuit of the almighty dollar as both a noble and nefarious practice.
