Singer Srinivas is an engineer who turned to playback singing for Indian films. He studied in Kerala and was coached in carnatic music by his aunt. Srinivas had developed a fine ear for music early in his life. He was born in Ambasamudram to Duraiswamy Iyengar and Lakshmi. Growing up in Trivandrum, he followed the bhajan groups, who walked by the streets, singing devotional songs during the month of Margazhi. He started listening to Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, M. D. A mechanical engineer from Anna University Chennai, Vineeth Sreenivasan is the son of the Malayalam film actor and film-maker Sreenivasan. He is a part of the band Malayalee with Jakes Bejoy, Shaan Rahman and Arjun Sasi. He has also acted as one of the main protagonists in the Malayalam film titled Cycle which did well at the box-office. He writes the lyrics of most of his album songs and has also shown his direction skills, directing his own music videos. .
