Concha Buika (born 1972 in Palma de Mallorca) is a Spanish singer who performs under the name Buika. Her album Niña de Fuego is currently nominated for the Latin Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
Buika's family is originally from Equatorial Guinea and she grew up in Spain among gypsy people and foreigners as the only person of African descent.[1] Her music mixes flamenco with soul, jazz and funk.
