Within Temptation 1996 yılında kuruldu. Kurucu üye Robert Westerholt vokalistlerini bulmuştu bile sevgilisi Sharon Den Adel... 2 ay gibi kısa bir süre sonra değişik firmalardan teklifler aldılar ve sonunda DSFA Record ile anlaştılar ... Grup için DSFA ile anlaşmalarından sonra herşey yoluna girmişti. İlk albümleri "Enter" nisan 1997 yılında yayınlandı ve kısa bir süre sonra Dynamo festivalinde çaldılar (1997). Bu onların 5. konser deneyimleriydi... Dynamo Festivalindan sonra pek çok konser teklifi aldılar ve 1997 Kasım ayında 2 haftalık Almanya ve Avusturya turnesine çıktılar... Pek çok konser bunu takip etti. Grup 1998 yılında Dynamo'da ana sahnede performanslarını gösterdikten sonra "The Dance"...

1998 - 2003 J-FRIENDS is a SPECIAL/TEMPORARY UNIT of J&A that comprises of 13 members from three debuted groups such as TOKIO , V6 and KinKi Kids . Essentially, the group was formed for charity purposes and had worked with many different international personalities and artists that helped in their releases such as Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men and many more.
