1995 senesinde Massachusetts’de kurulan Amerikalı alternatif rock grubu Staind, kadrosunda Aaron Lewis (vokal, gitar), Mike Mushok (gitar), Jon Wysocki (davul) ve Johnny April (bas gitar)’ı bulunduruyor. İlk başlarda Korn, Rage Against The Machine, Pearl Jam ve Alice In Chains gibi grupların parçalarını coverlayarak çevredeki barlarda ve kulüplerde sahne alan grup, 1996 senesinde “Tormented” adlı ilk albümünü yayınladı. “Tormented” albümünde Sepultura ve Pantera gibi sert metal gruplarının etkisinde kalan Staind, albümün kapağında ve soundunda bu etkiyi hissettiriyordu. Albüm sonrasında Limp Bizkit ile birlikte sahne alan grup, konser öncesinde ilk albümdeki tarz sebebiyle Limp Bizkit’den Fred Durst’ün tepkisiyle karşılaştı. Ne var ki...
