Sinkcharmer is the occasional solo project of Paul Coleman (Albumen, the Operators). The origins of Sinkcharmer go back to 1993 when Paul was in college and in the band Psquelch. On summer break, he bought a 4-track and started recording tape after tape of songs under the pseudonym Alger Hiss. 1994 brought a move to North Carolina with girlfriend and sometime collaborator Kathleen. At early age, Ras Charmer started singing at various events at churches. schools, concerts, etc. and was a member of an R&B singing group, up until after he left scool.
