Qypthone are known for their superfast, very danceable Acid-Jazz-Bossanova-Japanese-Lounge-Pop-Happy-Weird-Sound, whose tasteful references to the '60s and '70s are spiced up with computer game elements. The band (http://www.qypthone.com, Label: http://www.happiniess-records.com) consists of Takeshi Nakatsuka (mastermind, DJ), Kentaroh Ishigaki (bassist) and the singer and jazz piano player Izumi Ookawara. The band used to appear on stage with Pizzicato Five and is working with landmark Japanese producers like Yasuharu Konishi (Readymade Records), Mansfield, Fantastic Plastic Machine, Tetsuo Sunaga and Nori Ikeda.
