Conventum was an eclectic band based in Montreal, Canada. Formed in the mid 70s around a collective of music, art, and theater people, the band recorded two albums, A l'Affut d'un Complot (1977) and Le Bureau Central des Utopies (1980). .
THE CONVENT came together as a concept in late 1985 and throughout the band’s evolution some members have come and gone , and all of them have been at one time or another, vital to the band’s development. Silver Convention was a German disco recording act of the 1970s. The group was first named "Silver Bird Convention" or "Silver Bird". The group was originally founded in Munich by producers and songwriters Sylvester Levay and Michael Kunze. "Silver" is actually Sylvester Levay's nickname.
