Their current line-up is; Serhat Erman (Vocals-Guitar), Berkan Tomay (Guitars-Synths), Burak Sarioglu (Bass), Murat Sahin (Drums). Touted as very promising and breathtaking by music magazines, The Revolters etched out a solid reputation as the cream of the crop band of Istanbul’s musical scene, becoming the most promising, buzz breaking band. Plugged to be as “amiable and watchable as a rock band can get”, the bands impressive live performances had been described as confident, charming, giddy and energetic. The band's raw attitude and fascinating melodies allowed them to build an increasing following within the local scene.
Their first single “Step by Step” from their debut EP “It’s Gonna Hurt A Little” (2008) made the band become an instant radio hot-shot, earning them airplay from international and local stations, alongside with it bringing widespread press acclaim. In the summer, the band performed the Masstival and MTV Alternative Nation Festivals. The second single followed later in the year and the band signed to Topkapi Music.
The Revolters recorded their second EP in London with producer Luke Buttery, and returned with the single "Shining On” November 2009. The album, entitled “Future Obscure” was released on December 2009 and entered the Turkey Album Charts at No.2. Tom Robinson premiered the UK debut of the track on BBC 6 Music.
They kept touring the following year locally and internationally, supported The Subways, IAMX, The DO and performed One Love Festival Main Stage alongside Groove Armada, The Wild Beasts, Ting Tings.
The band released the single “Feel the Beat” from their unreleased EP and went on an hiatus, due to consecutive military services of the band members .
In the winter of 2015, the Revolters began working on their LP in their homecity Istanbul. The band set out to establish a personal and forward-thinking blend of sound by blending the grit of rock and roll with the melodies and atmospheres of British new wave.
The sound of the album “Unconditional”, borrows from the vast vernacular of contemporary music, in order to create a compelling narrative that echoes the work of bands as diverse as The Stone Roses, Harmonia, Talking Heads and The Cure just to mention a few.

The Revolters strike with their storytelling nuances, but they allow the energy of rock and roll to define their upbeat spirit. This blend of genres makes for a very special approach to song-writing, as every track feels catchy and accessible, yet deep and thought-provoking all at once. “Unconditional” arrives in June 17th 2016.
