The core of the band have been playing together since they met at school in Glastonbury with the festval
on their doorstep. Led by Cellist & songwriter Hannah Moulette; many musicians have joined what has been more like a collective than your average band. Think Frank Zappa ‘s extended band, meets Broken Social Scene, meets one of those incestous Folk rock/pysch folk bands from the 60’s/70’s. Throw in the occasional American indie rock twists of Deerhoof & Tuneyards with Queen scale Vocal Harmonies & epic string arrangements & you get close to what the band has tried to present so far. Having spent 16 years on the fringes of Folk, Indie & Prog Rock, the band have been touring many circuits over U.K, Europe & Canada, playing Mainstages (Glastonbury, Montreal
Jazz, Cropredy, Bestival, End of The Road, Cambridge Folk, Beautiful Days etc) , obscure ‘Dens on Iniquity’, Free parties on mysticaIslands & in BBC 6,2 &4 Radio stations.

Moulettes have pricked up the curious ears of a diverse audience both in & out of the industry. Noted for their creativity on the UK circuit they have shared the studio & stage with legends such as John Paul Jones, Seasick Steve, Nick Cave, Mick Jagger, He r b i eF l owe r s( D a v i d B o w i e , L o u R e e d ) ,God of Hellfire ArthurBrown and members of Prog -Rocking Gentle Giant
& most recently were asked to partly arrange the latest acoustic album from PunkFolk Brightonian Legends, The Levellers. This was Recorded at Abbey Road and produced by John Leckie (Radiohead, Bellowhead). They have also had contemporaries from Mumford & Sons (Ted Dwane) , Band of Skulls, Bear’s Den, The Unthanks, Sarah Blasko’s Band, Sons of Noel and Adrian, Mystery Jets, Noisettes, Liz Green, Honey Feet, Resonators and Mike Dennis join the fold at different times. The Artistic family tree goes on & on but more importantly so do the musical ideas & that is clearly what is the priority for this band. The next chapter sees the core trio of Hannah Moulette (Cello, Synths, Vocals), Raevennan Husbandes (Guitar, Synths, Vocals) & Oli Moul (Drums, Synths, Guitar & Vocals) to tour for the first time in Australia, Japan, U.S & Mexico in
support of their latest single ‘Pufferfish Love’, from their last album ‘Preternatural’. This pop pearl is A love song inspired by the Japanese male Pufferfish & its seemingly artistic courting ritual, as
first filmed by David Attenborough. Then its another world tour in support of their 5th Album. A Triple LP of Rock, Electronic & Chamber orchestra versions of new songs recorded at The Rosehill Arts Hub (Brighton’s new venue/ studio the band help set up and co-run). Expect Woman leadership, interesting guests, bespoke instruements (AlanMillerGuitars.co.uk), Acoustic & electric dueling, Progressive tendecies, concept records, Pychadellic stories, Environmental concern, surreal humour, multi-instrumetal interplay & dedication to song craft.
