Cornelio Reyna Cisneros (born in Notillas, Coahuila, México on 15 September 1940 - 22 January 1997) was a Mexican Norteño singer and "Bajo sexto"-player, a popular bass guitar that superficially resembles a 12-string guitar. Cornelio Reyna formed a partnership with the legendary Ramón Ayala to create the famous duet called Los Relampagos del Norte in 1963. Esta banda se inició en 1986 en Buenos Aires, con presentaciones en pubs underground. Llegaron a grabar su primer disco en 1987, producido por Mario Breuer y Andrés Calamaro. Fueron elegidos como Grupo Revelación por el Sí de Clarín. Al año siguiente editaron la segunda placa, "Patria o muerte", oscuro, cargado y denso, no fue comprendido en su momento, y el grupo entró en una crisis que derivó en su disolución en 1989.
