There are 2 (at least) bands called Confession. 1. Fronted by Michael Crafter (former I Killed the Prom Queen), Confession is one of Australia's leading Hardcore Acts. The band members come from all over Australia, including Melbourne (Victoria), Adelaide (South Australia) and Byron Bay in New South Wales, well known for the breeding ground of Australian Metalcore band, Parkway Drive. Confession's Debut Album, Cancer, was released during 2009 and was Blunt Magazine's Album of the Year. An anomaly for the death 'n' grind-obsessed Earache label, North Carolina's Confessor performed slow and dirgy doom metal, and were formed in 1986 by wailing vocalist Scott Jeffreys, guitarists Brian Shoaf and Ivan Colon, bassist Cary Rowells, and drummer Stephen Shelton. After releasing 3 demos, Confessor released a debut album called Condemned in 91 and an eponymous EP, but lack of interest in their talents soon drove them to break up. Confession of Faith is an industrial goth band. But their instrumentation was wide and varied. From using hammered dulcimer and toy piano to samples and noise, they created a very unique and powerful sound. While innovation in music is always a key for them so are the importance of the lyrics. .

Dashboard Confessional is an emo group started in 2000, by Chris Carrabba in Boca Raton, Florida, as a side project from his band Further Seems Forever. Chris recorded his first album, The Swiss Army Romance, in 2000. The following year, he recorded Further Seems Forever's debut album The Moon Is Down. However, he left the band soon after the album's release, instead recording and releasing his sophomore album The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most, as well as a follow-up EP titled So Impossible. By 2002, three other musicians had joined the band, including former Further Seems Forever...
