While no official release were marketed prior to 2005, the original idea for Violet UK had already been thought off in early 1997 before X Japan disbanded. Yoshiki planned on releasing the first album in 2002. Unfortunate incidents (hide's death) and his general obsession with perfection pushed back that release date.
