Paradise Lost (formed in 1988 in Halifax, UK) began as one of the premier bands of the death doom metal genre (along with their former Peaceville labelmates Anathema and My Dying Bride) and pioneered the sound of early gothic metal. In the late 1990s they evolved to a more mainstream synth rock style, only to come full-circle back to their doom metal and gothic metal roots on recent releases. Ironically, the band is almost unknown in their home country, whereas in mainland Europe they have been extremely popular for many years, especially in Greece, Germany and Bulgaria, where they are...
Felix De Laet (born 30 November 1993), known by his stage name Lost Frequencies, is a Belgian DJ and music producer. The track topped the Belgian Ultratop chart on 15 November 2014 also reaching number two in the Belgian Wallonia francophone chart as well. In 2015, the track...
Lost Boy ? isn’t indulging in a whimsical pilgrimage through pop history, instead they're pillaging sounds from a junkyard once frequented by the likes of L7 and the Meat Puppets. Using catchy melodies and jangly pop riffs this is a band you would find on 120 Minutes in 1993. .
There are 2 bands with the name Lost Highway: 1. Lost Highway is a crossover band from Czech Republic originally known as F.S. 2. Lost Highway is a progressive traditional band from Lyon, FR and Amsterdam, NL formed in 2012. Imagine the energy of traditional Irish music with roots in the French Morvan, the trance of repetition, original tunes and a Big Massive Groove. That’s Lost Highway, a band drawing it’s power from tradition and the speed of modern-day life. The original lineup consists of: Julien Cartonnet : cornemuses du centre & banjo Stijn van Beek : uilleann pipes Kaspar...
Around 2001, two brothers named Gomi Takahisa (vocal /bassist) & Gomi Takuto (guitar) recruited guitarist Shimizu Masaya, who was in another band at the time, and drummer Tanaka Tomokazu into their band; so was the birth of lostage. A rhythm section that repeats itself through the noisy feedback. Vocals that vibrate with a hysteric feel lyrically entwining within the deafening sound. And at the end of it all, distortion guitars that paint a beautiful landscape.... It's been a while for a band to appear that can give such an overwhelming view of the world through their sound. That band is...
