The Truth: Pesky! are seven kids from Ulverton, Cumbria, a small market town on the edge of the Lake District. They consist of Megan Cooper (vocals), Niamh Angell (vocals), Patsy Gillam (bass), Kate Stamp (guitar / vocals), Joseph Jackson (guitar), Jessica Webster (keyboards) and Harry Angell (drums). A curious and obscure combo formed in Leicester, Midlands in 1966, Pesky Gee signed to Pye in 1968 and soon began to make a name for themselves in the underground prog-rock arena, releasing Exclamation Mark in 1969 as their first and last full-length LP. The band soon shifted its bluesy hard rock underpinnings towards a more contemporary -- 1970 marks Black Sabbath's debut -- interest in Satanism and occultism, which led Pesky Gee to its ultimate transformation into Black Widow .
