The Cannibals are a British rock band formed in 1977 by Mike Spenser. They have released seven full length albums, numerous singles, EP's, split LP's, and appeared on several compilations. The band is one of the most prominent representative of the Trash rock and Garage punk genres. .

Fine Young Cannibals were a trio formed in Birmingham, England in 1984 by bassist David Steele, off UK band The Beat, guitarist Andy Cox and vocalist, actor/model Roland Gift. Their name came from the 1960 film All The Fine Young Cannibals starring Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood. The band's eponymous debut album was released in 1985, spawning two hit singles, "Johnny Come Home" and a cover of Elvis Presley's "Suspicious Minds" featuring additional vocals by Jimmy Somerville. 1989-ben alakult, akkor még három taggal (DJ. UBY, Qka MC, Richie). 1990-ben született meg az első rap-dal, ami egy budapesti tini-klub indulója lett. Bebizonyították, hogy igenis lehet magyarul rappelni. Ekkor 15 évesek voltak és addig még Magyarországon nem létezett egyetlenegy rap-banda sem. 1991-ben feltűntek a TV képernyőjén, és ebben az évben Qka MC rapversenyt nyert a Danubius Rádióban. 1991. végén DJ. UBY kivált az együttesből. Mivel a lemezkiadóknak akkor még nem volt igénye a magyar rapzenére, az FLM-nek (Császár Előd), a Soho Party-nak (Nákai Attila) és más népszerű pop-bandáknak írtak szövegeket. 1992-ben és 1993-ban is meglepték néhány száz fős rajongótáborukat...
