After ten years of being a "DJ globe-Trotter", DJ REPLICANT has decided to settle down in his home studio in Paris. He had many interesting encounters while touring has a DJ and decided to create THE REPLICANTS, as a pseudonyme, referring back to American science fiction of the 80’s. This Anglo-French band is composed of the English MC ANDREW VALENTINE and of the multi-instrumentalist/producer ERNEST SAINT LAURENT, and the bass player FRED W!DE (the fighter). Andrew lent his original voice to different English underground groups (Saville Robots, KC Creative, Enemy Voices) ranging from "Acid Jazz", to "Electro", to "Brit Pop"....

Replicants was a side project of Ken Andrews (Failure, On, Year Of The Rabbit), Greg Edwards (Failure, Lusk, Autolux), Paul D'Amour (Lusk, Feersum Ennjin, Tool), and Chris Pitman (Lusk). The band recorded one album, comprised entirely of covers of musicians such as The Cars, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Steely Dan, and Pink Floyd, among others. The album is known for pitting John Lennon's bitter slam against Paul McCartney, "How Do You Sleep?" against McCartney's more lighthearted "Silly Love Songs" within three tracks of each other. .
