There are two bands identified as "The Dilettantes". 1) A Rock band consisting of Joel Gion, Jefferson Parker, Nic Russo, KC Kozak and Nick Marcantonio. The Dilettantes will travel to England and France for a club tour in the Spring of 2008. 2) A Los Angeles Band fronted by Kay Hanley and Michelle Lewis. They are known for having a 'third' somewhat random guest player that has included Tracy Bonham, Nina Gordon, Leah Andreone, Kara DioGuardi, and Lisa Loeb. .

Solveig Slettahjell is a Norwegian jazz singer. Slettahjell was a student of renowned Norwegian singer Sidsel Endresen, with whom she collaborated recently in Jon Balke's Batagraf ensemble (Statements, ECM, 2005). She recorded with the experimental all-female vocal quartet Kvitretten, with jazz singers Eldbjørg Raknes, Kristin Asbjörnsen and Tone Åse, and teaches jazz singing at the Norwegian Academy of Music. .
