DJ Phazer is the alter ego of a nerd from Michigan who aspires to be a multi-faceted performing music artist to the fullest.
A young Phazer started practicing the art of beatboxing some time in his early high school years, and developed his signature self-distorted vocal sound. Around the same time, he began listening to and dabbling in the creation of various kinds of EDM such as Drum & Bass. Upon graduation in 2005, during the short stretch of summer before college, he wrote and recorded a few small hip-hop experiments including a nerd rap about Tetris with the music sampled from an actual Game Boy Color, and a cheap karaoke machine microphone for the vocals.
Since then, his software and hardware arsenals have been upgraded, and he has been throwing himself at production of all sorts, with the mission to fuse a little bit of all of his favorite kinds of music together into a collection of soundgasms. .
