Geoffrey Downes (born 25 August 1952 in Stockport, England,) is a rock keyboard player, songwriter, and producer. He is best known as the keyboardist for the bands Asia, Buggles, and also his stint with Yes in 1980. When he was a keyboardist for Buggles, he played multiple keyboards to achieve a New Wave technopop sound. Stee Downes has been deeply involved with all area's of the music industry since 1997. He began playing bass with a live dance music outfit called "Nu root rhythm", recorded " The Big Smoke EP", and toured Germany. Stee studied communications and media production until 2001. When completing his studies he moved to Amsterdam where he worked with various producers and musicians including Ishfaq (previously released on inphusion records).
