Annexia (UK) is an experimental/avant-metal act by Stephen Trepak (Human Future). The name is, specifically, a reference to the fictional city mentioned in the David Cronenberg film adaptation of William S. Burrough's "Naked Lunch". The debut album 'Egress' was originally self released digitally under his name, but received a physical release as Annexia in 2015 through Truthseeker Music. .

Annexus Quam were from Kamp-Lintfort, a suburb of Dusseldorf. Their music can best be described as an avant garde mixture of mixed jazz, rock and psychedelia. They began playing hippie rock in late 1967 under the name of 'Ambition of Music'. The following year they added members from a local evangelical brass band causing them to experiment with jazz. In late 1969 the group changed its name to Annexus Quam which translates roughly to 'connection how'. Alexander's Annexe is an ensemble which comprises of three distinct artists: Mira Calix, David Sheppard and Sarah Nicolls. Alexander's Annexe is about methodology as much as it is about end result; all three artists met while on tour with the London Sinfonietta and have different backgrounds. Sarah was the principal pianist at the Warp Works and 20th Century Masters concert at Parco Della Musica in Rome in 2004, while David helped with the arrangement and performance of Mira’s now legendary insect piece Nunu whilst on this tour.
