A duo featuring soundscape programmer Robert Smith and flamenco guitarist Angel Suarez, Bella Sonus crafts a world-influenced style of lush electronica heavy on ambient tones and low-tempo rhythms. Highly emotive, the duo also works with background vocalists to further their sound to more ethereal heights that often drift toward serene tendencies. Based in Dublin, Ireland, SONUS MORTIS is a new one-man project from VALEDICTION bassist, Kevin Byrne, playing Dark Symphonic Death/Black/Doom Metal. A 3 song demo was recorded in July 2013. There are at least two artists sharing the name Sonus. 1. An ensemble of musicians that play music of the Renaissance and Medieval eras. The Sonus ensemble was formed in 1988 by James Carrier to perform the secular music of the Middle Ages. Sonus has recorded three CD’s of Medeival music and had editions published by Mel Bay Publications.
