The Ringers, Hollywood CA Keeping alive the tradition of what rock 'n roll music should be -- sleazy, sexual and dangerous. We just came off a 26 date tour of the USA, and we rocked America like it should be rocked, wrapping it up with a show at Derby on the East Side in our home town of Los Angeles, CA. There are at least three groups that have used this name: 1) Ringers were a diy pop punk band from various parts of the east coast, formed out of the ashes of Sirens in 2004. They released two full lengths, Curses (2005) and Detention Halls (2007), as well as splits with Ampere and Blotto, and a single on Art of The Underground. In 2009 they released a seven-song extended player called Hurry Up & Wait and broke up. Dead Ringers was a UK radio and television comedy impressions show broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Two. The programme was devised by Bill Dare (who is also its producer) and developed with Jon Holmes, Andy Hurst and Simon Blackwell. It stars Jon Culshaw, Jan Ravens, Phil Cornwell, Kevin Connelly and Mark Perry. The principal writers are Tom Jamieson and Nev Fountain.
