The Furze has two meanings: 1. The Furze are a British indie band from Maidenhead. The members of the band have been recording together for more ten years, and the same line-up have previously performed under the name Kid Galahad. The band’s current name is a reference to Furze Platt, the suburb of Maidenhead where all the members hail from. Their eclectic music style has been compared to that of Beck and Jane's Addiction.[1] The band have supported a number of prominent bands and artists at concerts around the world, including Kaiser Chiefs, Supergrass, Oasis, Kings of Leon and Elliott...
FURZE is created out of the dust of WOE J REAPER – around 1996 partly the name for a project, periodically a band, then the driving force behind it eventually split it in '97 for the last time and finally started it seriously… In October 1998 Woe J Reaper changed the name to FURZE, at the time when lyrics like "Scolopendraarise" and "Devacamo Possessed Black" were written – and Reaper had moved out in the half desolate forest (where he spent 3 ½ years) to aid the inspiration force further… FURZE/WOE J REAPER released 3 demos in the last years...
Mark Furze is an Australian Actor and singer. He is famous for playing Eric (Ric) Dalby on popular Australian Soap 'Home & Away' since 2005. He is also a singer (and guitar player) who has been in a few unsigned rock bands. In 2006 he took part in Channel 7's 'It Takes Two' proving he was a talented singer as well as a talented actor. In Jan 2007 he took part in the UK ITV series 'SoapStar Superstar' - he performed well in the series & finished in 3rd position. .
