Sagrado Coração da Terra (translates Sacred Heart of Earth) is a Brazilian progressive rock band, formed in Belo Horizonte, Brazil in 1979 by violinist Marcus Viana after the demise of the group Saecula Saeculorum. Their sound is a blend of classical music, rock, popular Brazilian music and african-amerindian traditions; their lyrics often verses about ecology and spiritual matters. Their first album was released in 1985; since then, they released 3 more studio albums until 1994, when the band's activities were put on hold. Fruto Sagrado (in english "Sacred Fruit")is a brazilian gospel rock band. Took place in Niterói, in Rio de Janeiro state, in 1988, with the goal of playing, to express through music their relationship with God and the world around them.
