Ундервуд is a pop rock band from Ukraine named after Underwood typewriter. It was formed by two doctors from Crimea — Maksim Kucherenko and Vladimir Tkachenko. The band tries to revive russian-retro-rock motives in modern music, at the same time bringing intellectual rock to a new level. Russian rock band Zvuki Mu was founded in Moscow in the early 1980's. Its lead singer and songwriter Пётр Мамонов (Pyotr Mamonov) is one of the most creative, revered and eccentric figures of the Russian art scene, whose absurdist lyrics are as playful and disturbing as his vocal style and explosive on-stage presence. The band's sound combined starkly simple yet textured melodies with synthesizer sounds, quite unlike anything else heard in Russian rock at the time. Alexander Kuzmich Vustin, also Voustin or Wustin (Russian: Александр Кузьмич Вустин, born: April 24, 1943, Moscow) is a Russian composer. He studied composition first with Grigory Frid at a regional music college, and later with Vladimir Ferè at the Moscow Conservatory, graduating in 1969. Between 1969 and 1974, Vustin worked as a music editor at USSR Radio. From 1974 he worked as an editor at the Kompozitor publishing house.
