Kensington Prairie is Rebecca Rowan's solo project. Rebecca is the singer/songwriter of Vancouver's indie pop darlings 'Maplewood Lane'. Kensington Prairie's debut full length album "Captured in Still Life" will be released April 2008. The album was recorded, mixed, engineered and produced by Jonathan Anderson at Buena Vista Audio. Noah Mintz (Broken Social Scene, The Dears) mastered the album. .
Kensington is a rock band from Utrecht, The Netherlands. The band was formed in 2005 and has released two EPs and two albums since then. Their first album Borders was released in 2010. The original line-up was formed in May 1967, by Sault St. Marie singer Keith McKie (b. November 20, 1947, St. Albans, Herts, England, emigrated to Canada in April 1953), after his former band, The Vendettas, had broken up. The Paupers' former manager Bernie Finkelstein saw potential in McKie and decided to build a group around him using the money he got from Albert Grossmen (for selling his interests in The Paupers) to finance the project.
