ANTIQUES is S.P.V. Geography Hill Billy Durette Jamie Martini ANTIQUES started out as a different band in 2003 called Sparrowhawk. Steven and Tim started recording Steve’s songs together. Mostly, they thought it was terrible. Then Tim decided he could write songs too so they decided to change the band name. In 2006, they recorded their first LP Forgotten People Tread Water in Steve’s basement. There are two artists with this name: 1) The Antiques first met in Santa Barbara in 2000. After several years of playing shows with a different lineup of musicians, the three original members, Joey Barro (guitar, vocals), Chris Good (drums, vocals), and Ben Donaldson (bass, vocals) formed The Antiques in Los Angeles in 2003. Emerging as a familiar sounding roots rock group, The Antiques added fourth member Josh Hertz (guitar, lapsteel, vocals) to the lineup early in 2005.
