There are two bands by this name: 1) Aerials is an ambient alternative band from Gothenburg, Sweden. Built on melodies and wide soundscapes, Aerials draws inspiration from many different places. Aerials is built around the 24 year old swedish musician Christoffer Franzén. In the fall of 2011, he started to spend nights alone in the studio, learning about the different ways of recording and creating music. Aerials Up: a mind blowing seven-piece band from Glasgow, who formed in 2009. Despite only forming just over a year ago, the band has achieved considerable success and created a lot of industry buzz on the way. Festivals this year include a headline slot on the BBC Introducing Stage at T In The Park, as well as Wickerman Festival. They have also supported Snow Patrol, The Futureheads and Paolo Nutini on tour, playing with Paolo at the Royal Albert Hall and a recent BBC 2 In Concert performance, recording with Jo Whiley in Paisley.
