Três Tristes Tigres was a Portuguese band from the nineties. Since 1987, Ana Deus ( ex-Ban) worked and collaborated with the poetesses Regina Guimarães in song-writing for theatre and video. The keyboardist Paula Sousa ( ex-Reporter Estrábico) joined the band some time later. In 1992 the first formation is defined. The name was chosen for being a wordplay and because they felt that having "tristes" (sad) in music that normally is associated with amusement was funny. El Tattoo Del Tigre was a mambo big band formed in Antwerp, Belgium in 1999. Their music is an impressive interaction of percussion, bass, piano, saxophones, trombones, trumpets, flute, vocals, dancers and MCs. 60 Tigres is a band formed in Monterrey, Mexico in 2005 with the idea of merging different styles onstage. Alejandro Elizondo (Guitar/Vocals), Roberto Polo (Bass/Vocals), José Miguel Polo (Drums/Backing vocals), Saverio Giandusa (Keys/Backing vocals) and Elias Marcos (Guitar/Backing vocals)create their own style merging foreign influences and alternating Spanish and English lyrics, trying to mirrow Mexico's everyday life.
