It took 2 days of stamping his feet for the 8 year-old Tibor to convince his parents to let him take his first drum lessons. They did not realize at that time that music and drum playing (clashing!) would be one of the loudest part of their everydays. He started to perform as a child with various percussion groups, he was 15 when he formed his first band called Mood Swings (which merged funk, latin-american and ambient music), and when he got 18, he already knew that he wants to make music full time. So this time did he get into electronic music which offered new horizons by the use of samplings. Since 2002, as a member of the band Zagar, he co-produced two albums (“Local Broadcast” and “Cannot Walk Fly Instead”) and has played on hundreds of concerts on the stages of small clubs as well as festivals and concert halls, from England to Russia all over Europe. He has been taking part in Dj Bootsie’s (BBE Records) live act since 2006 as the ’base-provider’ of the scratch-master’s abstract hip-hop pieces. Due to his great musical appetite, he tasted Cuban music, took a few bites of jazz and has been chewing on the Maroccan (Chalaban), yet it seems, it is the electronic, the hip-hop and the ambient which means the musical manna for him. While making music, he found time for atending classes of literature and communication at the University of Science in Szeged, Hungary. Science of literature and philosophy have had a great influence on his musical view. All that he has imbibed during the past ten years has been poured into his own compositions: minimal-electronic, hip-hop, salsa rhythm, cool jazz solos, ambient impressions. Clever, unique tricks, soft female voice embedded in meditative piano phrases. What serves as the base is pulsing made out of noises - instead of frantic drumming -, and misty reverbs - instead of calculated notes. The spherical sound of cobble-stones in the Eastern-European streets permeates Occam’s philosophic tone and echoes beautifully in his dub-delays. .
